Requirements
Long Way Round created an entire genre of motorcycling stories, igniting a desire to set out on motorcycle adventures and share those stories. We will cover everything you need to know to tell great stories from your motorbike and anywhere else.
Whether you’re looking to build a YouTube channel or create fun home videos to watch at home, we’ll cover everything you need to know.
Each stage will include easy, medium and high-end approaches to decide which level suits you. We’re going to run through capturing content with either just one camera or multiple cameras, including drone, how to stay organised with files and to back up, and of course, editing and publishing.
We’re going to be using GoPros, using Davinci Resolve. Of course, we’re talking primarily about motorcycling, but all the principles covered in the course can be applied to any camera, editing software, and activity.
I’ve been capturing content on GoPros since 2011 while I was V8 Supercars Digital Manager, where we started experimenting with these crazily versatile cameras. Since then, barely a day has passed without capturing something on a GoPro.
While this course will cover everything you need to know technically, our core intent is storytelling and creating content fundamentals.
